Senior Linguist – Posted 25/10/2025
A position exists for an experienced linguist at South East Queensland News.
Must Speak Thai, Isaan, English & French fluently. Must be able to read, write and type those languages fluently.
Needs to be able to speak a bit of Chinese, just a little bit, you know, like Kevin Rudd, a little bit should be enough, nothing will go wrong I’m sure…
Since you already need to be able speak Isaan, you already speak a little bit of Lao, obviously, but a little more is preferable.
Must be a warrior, who will throw themselves between danger and a friend. Must work hard, every waking hour, nearly every day of the year.
You don’t need to be beautiful, but that helps too.

Diplomat / Junior-Linguist / Passivist Commando
A position exists for a Diplomat / Linguist / Commando but a Passivist.
Must be capable of being Loyal to Australia, the King of England, and the IRA at the same time. While keeping friends with the Chinese, and the Americans (North and South), Defending the Commonwealth and trying to explain to everybody that the Russians have some valid points (in between getting kidnapped by the Russians and the “Italian”s by proxy).
May involve the occasional being kidnapped, poisoned, questioned etc. by everybody on every side at one time or another. More frequently, it will involve people not asking anything before they attack.
